I recall that in an earlier version of Excel, when I used auto filters to
select a certain group of records in a worksheet, a message always appeared on the bottom bar of the screen saying "273 records selected" (or whatever the number was). This now doesn't happen (I'm using Excel 2003 in MS Office Professional). Can anyone tell me if this feature is still available, and if so how I turn it on? "Help" has turned up blank. Many thanks in advance, Jonathan |

Right click on that bottom bar and select count.
So, whenever you select the range of cells it will give you the total no of count. Hope this could clear you doubt.
