Occassionaly when trying to hide columns I get the "Cannot shift object off
sheet" message. The only thing I can see that is different to columns I can hide, is that those I can't contain formulas or data. I have encountered this problem when I have had, what I would call an object, such as a command button, etc., but this is not the case here. I can usually hide columns that contain data or formulas so what could be the reason for the message this time? The strange thing is, the columns I'm trying to hide used to be ones I could hide previously. All I've done is changed some formulas or added some data to that section of columns. Rob |

But it sounds like you may want to reset the last used cell. David,
Thankyou for the links, etc. My last used cell was correct, but I had a comment I'd forgotten about and deleting that fixed the problem. Rob "Dave Peterson" wrote in message ...
