Default Toolbar Query

A guy I work with has somehow managed to lose his menu toolbar...the one that
has file, edit, view, insert etc across the top. He only has File and Help
listed.

He rang our IT section and the guys on the helpdesk couldnt help him out so i
thought that someone on the forum might know how to fix this problem.

We run Excel 2000 Professional at work.

Anyone have any ideas on how he can get the rest of the menus back?

Default Toolbar Query

Hello
First check for files present in the xlstartup folder, if unknown files
found move them to some other folder.
Secondly may be some add-in has been loaded but unfortunately you cannot
check with Tools Add-Ins menu!
But you can check this through the register in
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Excel\Options\
Any Addin loaded will be found under the OPEN* entries, if not required,
delete it.

Finally you may also consider (as a last alternative) renaming the EXCEL.XLB
file.
