I have an Excel file that has a worksheet containing a list of possible
currencies and their symbols. Depending on which currency the user selects the model displayes the appropriate symbol via vlookup. The Euro and British pound symbols display properly when the model is run on my PC but not on the PC of another team member. He gets the bar symbol. It doesn't appear to be a small font issue because the symbols do no appear even when zoom is at 100%. The cells where the symbol is displayed are using the Ariel font and size of 11. I was sent a copy of the file and saw that there was a weird symbol that looks like an A that prefixed these two currency symbols on the currency worksheet. I deleted the contents and picked the correct values from the symbol table. When I sent the file back to him he got the bar signs again. Any thoughts on what might be different on his PC versus mine? |
