I have a user with Office 2003. When he opens up a file from a user that
has a document from Office 2000 he gets the following error The expected version of Microsoft Office 2000 was not found on this system" .. Higher versions should always open a lower version ???? |

Hi,
Important: If you come across such problem, its is recommeded that you inform the sender to resend the files back again in 2000 format, If you are aware that you will be using this file in downward compatible verison of Excel, then it is recommended that you save the Excel file in that format, before opening the file in lesser compatible version. There could be several reason for Excel 2003 file not opening in 2000 format. Challa Prabhu "stackieatPall" wrote: I have a user with Office 2003.
