Default Errors detected while saving ???

Hi I have Excel 2007 (running on Vista Ultimate) and have created a simple
spreadsheet from scratch. I can save the workbook initially, then if I try
to save again I get:

Errors were detected whlie saving 'c\Users....\filename.xlsm' Microsoft
office may be able to save the file by removing or repairing some features.
To make repairs in a newfile, click continue. ...

I do that... but when I try to save again I ultimately get a message like
this.. in the recovery log ...

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?
- <recoveryLog
xmlns="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/spreadsheetml/2006/main"
<logFileNameerror043600_01.xml</logFileName
<summaryErrors were detected in file 'C:\Users\Dad\Documents\House\19
Louis new.xlsm'</summary
- <additionalInfo
<infoDamage to the file was so extensive that repairs were not possible.
Excel attempted to save your formulas and values, but some data may have been
lost or corrupted.</info
</additionalInfo
</recoveryLog

Any ideas on the problem?

I get this as well - only just started happening and its VERY
frustrating. Microsoft just side step the problem as usual saying
they "dont support trial versions"

How on earth do they think I am going to purchase the full version
when even the trial (designed to impress potential customers) doesnt
come up with the goods?

I am also now getting a "unable to load dll" when attempting to view
certain macro code - worked fine before and nothing was changed .....
