Default excel minimized?

I am trying to find an answer to an issue with one of my teachers and I have
no idea how to help. When she gets an excel attachment in email (AOL)
sometimes it opens maximized and other times it minimizes to the task bar.
XP OS. Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hello

When a file is saved in Excel on one computer, information on the size of
the window and cell location is saved with it also. When the file is reopend
it will return to the window size it was last saved under. My guess is that
when a file is sent to another computer, there could be different screen
sizes and/or resolution settings that the file doesn't recognize from the
last saved format. Maximize the window and save the document on your
computer. Reopen the file and should be the same size that you saved it. If
the file opens minimized, simply right click and choose Maximize. If you are
opening the file from a shortcut on the desktop, right click the icon and in
the Shortcu tab there is a run field. Choose the size you want the file to
open in. Hope this helps.
