Default How to tamper proof cells?

Hi,
I have a spreadsheet that I want to send to someone so they can enter
some data. The cells that I want them to enter data to are coloured to
identify the data entry cells.

How can I make sure they don't tamper with the other cells I don't
want them to touch.

Any ideas?

thanks

F

First, unlock the cells that you want them to be able to enter data into
(your highlighted cells). Follow these steps:

1. Select the cells to unlock
2. From the Format Menu, choose "Cells"
3. Select the "Protection" Tab
4. Uncheck the "Locked" box
5. Click OK

Next, Protect the Worksheet:

1. From the Tools Menu, choose "Protection"
2. Select "Protect Sheet"
3. Enter a Password if you want or leave blank
4. Click OK

Thats it! Users may now only enter data into the Unprotected Cells. If you
need to make changes later, simply select "Tools" then "Protection" then
"Unprotect Sheet".
