Number format
Hi all
I have a spreadsheet with a list of codes (about 6 digits). I want to compare the codes with a list and return a new code (v-lookup). The old codes mostly start with 00 or 000 but not all 004463 000547 and they are formatted as text in the V-lookup table but as special in the other list (im not sure what special is as a format). When comparing the v-lookup it does not work which I assume is because they are formatted differently. However if I change the Format from special to Text (so they are the same) I lose the zeros at the end so again the Vlookup will not work Is there a way of changing the format to text without losing the zeros Hope this made sense and any help is greatly appreciated. Kind regards Rexmann (running Excel XP) However the list of values is stored |
