Default When will save as "DBF" be a reality from Excel 2007 ?

I was frustrated to see that when I had set up my Office 2007 that
Excel 2007 could not save as a dbf file !
I know I gan get around that by saving the file as delimited and
importing it into dbase file from Dbase or getting Access or FoxPro to
do it by importing the excel file, but that is not the way to do it.

The flagship of Microsoft "The Excel" should be able to export dbf
files directly as it was able to in older versions.

So my question is when will it be able to do that ?

Another question. Is there a 3rd party sofware for excel 2007 to
saving the sheet as a dbf file ?

Best regards,
Geir Throsteinsson, Reykjavík Iceland
