There are alternatives to using your formula (entered with ctrl-shift-enter).
One of them is: =COUNTIF(A1:A20,"="&8) And another: =SUMPRODUCT(--(A1:A20=8)) Neither of these needs to be entered with: ctrl-shift-enter Daniel wrote: Hi, I was checking one of the formula that appears as example: {=SUM(IF($A1:$A20=8,1,0))} This is done by someone and the value return to 20 since all the cell have a 9 on it.
