Default Not able to enter [ in Excel 2003

When I enter "[" in Excel 2003 then I get an ";". Is that an Excel bug or is
there a setting I have to change somewhere?

It could have set as an AutoCorrect option

Click Tools AutoCorrect Options
Type a "[" in the "Replace:" box. If a line appears where ";" appears under
"With:", then it's this setting which is causing it. Just click Delete to
remove the line OK
