Sending Pivot Table Only
I would like to be able to send a pivot table to a customer without having to
send the underlying data list. Is there a way of doing this? The only idea I could come up with is to hide the sheet with the data in. Thanks, RA |

Sending Pivot Table Only
You can copy the sheet from the existing spreadsheet and put it in a new
workbook. The data for the pivot table is stored in the Pivot Cache which goes with the pivot table. That being said you will still be sending them all of the data. It just is not readily visible as it is in the cache. There is really no effective way to protect a spreadsheet or it's contents from a truely inquisitive user. -- HTH... Sending Pivot Table Only
RA
All I do is right click on the pivot table worksheet tab and select "Move or Copy" Then I select "new book" from the "To Book" drop down list. I then enable the "Create a copy" tick box and select "OK" This creates a new workbook with only the pivot table in it and as Jim says the raw data is contained in the cash and is not visible to anyone John "Jim Thomlinson" wrote: You can copy the sheet from the existing spreadsheet and put it in a new workbook.
