Delete cells containing specific data?
How can you delete all cells containing specific data in a huge spreadsheet?
For example, delete all cells containing the word "hotfix." Kind of like search & replace, but that function can't delete cells that contain certain text. Thanks for any help! |

If you mean Delete the CONTENTS of the cell, then you can use Find and Replace with wild cards: Edit/Replace Find what: *hotfix* Replace with: <leave blank <Replace All If you actually want to <delete the cell, you'll have to use a VBA routine and also decide which way to move the remaining cells. --ron |
