Default Taskbar settings

The name on the taskbar only shows part of the name: Microsoft Excel -
Documentxxxxxxxxx. It doesnt show what excel spreadsheet it is. (For
example, Microsoft Excel - Data1). Is there any setting to place the
filename first, similar to how Word does it?

Thanks,
-Bruce D

Bruce,

If you hover your mouse above the taskbar button for Excel, the tooltip will
display the full filename.

Another option is to go to Tools-Option, in the View tab, check "Windows in
TaskBar". Each opened workbook will then have its own taskbar button with
just the filename. At least that's how it is in Excel 2003...

Hope that helps.
