Macros and Graphic recording???
2007 Excel
I was trying to use the recorder to build a graphical rectangle, fill it with color, and so on. I have been unsuccessful in creating code. The VBE code is only providing the location of the object but not the code associated with creating the graphical Object. Any thoughts? Is the recording a graphical object done differently in 2007 Excel? -- William<"M" 2007 ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Macros and Graphic recording???
There is no recording of macros relating to shapes in Excel 2007. The new
office art drawing engine took a great deal of work to build, and there was apparently not enough time left before rushing off to manufacturing to get the VBA information into the macro recorder. This also affects much of the new charting engine, which relies on the new office art shapes. I suspect that it will be reinstated either in the next version of Excel, if not in a service pack for Excel 2007. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Sunday88310" wrote in message ... 2007 Excel I was trying to use the recorder to build a graphical rectangle, fill it with color, and so on.
