Is there a way to filter data by a range? i have groups of data that consist
of ten rows that i want to be able to select which set of data i want to look
at/.

Yes, look at DataFilterAutofilter

So select a range, you will need to use the Custom... option in the appropriate
column.

Choose the filter by clicking on the down arrow.
Choose Custom...
Choose Greater Than in the first box
Enter the low range in the second
Choose And
Choose Less Than in the third box
Enter the high range in the fourth
