Default "More Fill Colors" does not appear

I am using Excel 2002 and would like to customize a fill color for a field in
a template, but the "More Fill Colors" option in the "Fill Color" drop down
menu is not there. How can I get this option?

The Fill Color icon only displays 40 colours for some reason. However,
if you use Format | Cells | Patterns (tab) instead you will be able to
select from all 56 colours. If you want to change one of these colours
from its default setting then choose Tools | Options | Color (tab),
click on the colour you want to change then click Modify.

Hope this helps.

Pete, you are awesome! Thank you so much for responding. This is exactly
what I needed. I searched for an answer using the "Microsoft Excel Help"
from the Help Menu. Under "Add, change, or remove a fill", if one expands the
text "Add or change a fill color" which is under item #3, it states:
"To change to a color that isn't in the color scheme, click More Fill
Colors. On the Standard tab, click the color you want, or click the Custom
tab to mix your own color."
THERE IS NO "More Fill Colors" to click on. I hope Microsoft reads these
posts and corrects their help text.

CoCo

The help text you are quoting is for changing the fill color in a picture or
drawing object.

First select the picture or drawing object then hit the Fill Color button on the
Darwing Toolbar.

You will get the "more fill colors" as well as "fill effects"

The Help is correct so MS has no need to change the text.
