Default I type 'HTE', Excel changes it to 'THE' or 'HET'. Why?

When trying to type 'HTE' into a cell, Excel changes it to either 'THE' or
'HET'. Why?

David,

Thank you very much. I'm new to Excel 2007. Couldn't find the auto correct

Click on the Office button (top left circle)
then click on the excel options (at the bottom)
then click on the Proofing section
then click on the autocorrection options
