Default Copying data across lines

hi,

I have a list which has been exported into excel, I need to copy rows down,
but there are gaps.

i.e
Row Heading data
west 123
145
675
East 565
698
123
985
South 122
122
145

How do I copy the row headings which in this example are West, East and South?

thanks

amanda

- Select column and F5-Special-blanks-OK.
- Press [=] then [up arrow] then ctrl+enter.
(so if A3 is the active cell, enter =A2 followed by ctrl enter.)
- Select column then copy, editpastes special values to fix values.

Hi Lori,

This appears to only complete for one cell, rather than copying down the
column, is that right?

Thanks

Amanda

Amanda - you need to use the CTRL+ENTER keystroke to enter the formula
into all the blank cells. Otherwise copy the single formula, choose F5-
special-blanks and paste.
