There is a big trouble using calculated members of Analysis Services (AS)
2005 with Excel 2007.
We have a dimension with a lot of calculated members (more than 100).

First of all, you need to change PivotTable options to enable the display of
calculated members (check PivotTable Tools / Options / Options / Display /
Show calculated members from OLAP server). When you do that, you choose to
get all calculated members available from a dimension/attribute. Now, if you
have 100 calculated members into an attribute, chances are that you want to
select only one or two of those members. Unfortunately, Excel 2007 shows you
a list of disabled checkbox that cannot be used to select only the members
you want.

The real big question now is this: we had a single PC where Excel 2007
allowed to select single calculated members. This was a PC whe
- we installed AS2005 with SP1 and then build 2153
- we installed Excel 2007 beta 2 Germany version (selection of single
calculated members didn't work)
- we uninstalled Excel 2007 beta 2 Germany version (beta expired)
- we installed Excel 2007 RTM Italian - at this point selection of single
calculated members worked !!!
- we installed AS2005 SP2 - at this point selection of single calculated
members DOESN'T WORK

We were not able to reproduce THE WORKING scenario on other PCs. We tried a
lot of combinations but in all our test we are not able to select single
calculated members into an Excel PivotTable.

Is there someone that can help us to enable the selection of calculated
members in an Excel 2007 PivotTable linked to an AS2005 database?
