Put your cursor just under the column(s) you want to always see then go up
top to 'window' and then 'freeze panes' "chipre" wrote: I'm trying to do a spread sheet, but i want the top columns to always show on top of screen when i'm scolling down, so that I donr alwasy have to scoll up to see what column i'm in? |

Select a cell in the first data row below the titles
Then...From the Excel main menu: <window<freeze panes Example: If you freeze panes at cell C2 Row_1 and columns A and B will always be visible. *********** Regards, Ron XL2002, WinXP "chipre" wrote: I'm trying to do a spread sheet, but i want the top columns to always show on top of screen when i'm scolling down, so that I donr alwasy have to scoll up to see what column i'm in? |

Select A1 (so you can see rows 1 and 2)
Select A2 Window|freeze panes. Everything above A2 will be frozen. Freeze panes an splitting are different. If you want separate scrollable panes, use split. If you want to just see those headers, use freeze panes. chipre wrote: I'm trying to do a spread sheet, but i want the top columns to always show on top of screen when i'm scolling down, so that I donr alwasy have to scoll up to see what column i'm in? -- Dave Peterson |
