Default Clear cell borders for blank white page

I have seen people change their spreadsheet so it appears there aren't any
cells except for the few they want to stand out. The rest of the page looks
like a blank page without any cells. I don't know what this is called or how
you can accomplish this. I've had some people want to get the cells back,
but don't know how.

Thanks!

Select (highlight) the cells you want, click "Fill Color" (Paint pot) icon,
and select a colour (white?).

To "reveal" cell borders, select a cell and click "Borders" icon and and
select "Outside Borders"
