Can deleting information from a spreadsheet you are working on cause one to
get a virus? sounds silly to me, but this is what I was told. please confirm or bust. thanks so much |

um, not that I'm aware of. Someone told you that deleting information from an
excel spreadsheet would give you a virus? Who told you that? Viruses come from outside sources. Maybe if someone was really really strange, they would write a virus that did that, but I've never heard of that one. The Excel virus. If you edit any of your spreadsheets, you're DOOMED! No.
Although, Excel spreadsheets may contain VB code. It is possible for this code to have malicious intent. Never choose to enable macros on a workbook if you have any doubts about its origin.
