I currently have 300MB Excel 2003 file that uses macros to compare various
worksheets with one another. Because of the amount of data, the process takes several hours to complete. When monitoring the performance, the CPU is showing 100% utilization. Since this is not actually performing any calculations, would moving to Excel 2007, with it's multi-threading capabilites, offer any benefit on a dual core system? Everything that I have read regarding Excel 2007, indicates that it has a multi-threading calculation engine, but I am not sure that this will improve a compare only process. Thanks, Randy |
