I upgraded to Execl 2007. Now, when I change the size of a graph that was
created in 2000 the individual elements in the graph do not re-size. I have been unable to find where to group the individual elements (the only tool for grouping I have found is under the data tab but it is not available for selection when in a graph. Any suggestions? Thanks, Mary |

Could you describe this in more detail? What kind of chart was it
originally? Did it have other shapes associated with it, besides the plotted data? - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Mary" wrote in message ... Jon,
It is a regular line graph. When I click on the graph and the drag the corner to increase the size of the graph, the area that is available for the graph increases - however the plot area, the titles, axis labels, etc do not increase (the area for the legend does increase but the font of the legend does not). When I make a new graph in 2007 it increase as a group so 2007 can do it, but I do not want to have to recreate hundreds of graphs. There has to be a way to group all the elements. Let me know if you need more details. Also on sheets that have several graphs I am having to use 'send to front" when I used to be able to just click the graph I wanted and it automatically came to the front. I am also have problems because older version of office will not open office 2007. So attachments I send on e-mails are unreadable to everyone who has not yet upgraded and I am having to go back and save files as older versions when I have to e-mail them. Thanks for you help. Let me know if you need more details. I do not observe this. Send me a copy of a file from 2000, and another copy after saving it in 2007, and I'll see if anything is obvious. jonxlmvp at peltiertech dot com Also on sheets that have several graphs I am having to use 'send to front" when I used to be able to just click the graph I wanted and it automatically came to the front. They changed this on purpose, and most users think it was a mistake. I am also have problems because older version of office will not open office 2007. So attachments I send on e-mails are unreadable to everyone who has not yet upgraded and I am having to go back and save files as older versions when I have to e-mail them. You'll just have to keep saving in an older format. Probably for some time, since many people are reluctant to upgrade. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions http://PeltierTech.com _______ |
