Default convert x/y coordinates to a shape file to use in Cad?

There are columns in a spreadsheet that have X and Y coordinates in them. I
want to convert them to a shape file so I can import the points into Autocad.
What is the procedure?
Thanks.

Do you want to draw a shape, or do you want to convert the Excel worksheet
of X-Y values into a file that AutoCAD can read?
