Pivot Table sum incorrect
I have a pivot table summarizing a medical expense spread sheet for the
year. All total and subtotals are correct except for December. There are 3 entries for December, however, the pivot table will not recognize the very last spread sheet entry, therefore the grand totals are off by those amounts. How can I find the range December is looking at when summarizing the data? Thx in advance Dave |

Dave,
I think you need to look closely at the contents of the last December entry. Pivot tables will accept either text or numbers, but if they're text, and there are spaces included, they'll ignore it. What is the formatting (Format - Cells - Number) of the cells? If you select the errant December cell, click in the formula bar and move the cursor with the arrow keys, do you see any extra suspect stuff? This kind of thing can happen with imported data, data pasted from web pages, and stuff like that. -- Earl Kiosterud www.smokeylake.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- "Dave" wrote in message ... Thanks Earl, but nothing funny there. I cleared/reformatted/reentered data
but no joy. It simply is not reading the entire last line of my spread sheet. Any further thoughts?? Dave "Earl Kiosterud" wrote in message ... At last -
Turns out there is a pivot table data range window in the Wizard (hit the Back button). My last line of data was outside the range. That was it Thanks Dave "Dave" wrote in message ...
