Default Excel: multi layer 3d graphics with x y z data

Dear developers
I'm a researcher using often spatial data
I wonder is it possible to represent series of x y z data
in excel graphics in 3D.
Very useful feature in my opinion.

This could be useful, but it's not supported in Excel. Excel's x-y-z
charting is very limited, consisting of either a surface/contour chart, or
other charts with mostly false third dimensions.

Isn't something like Mathematica more suited to three-dimensional charting?

Excel isn't really a math program.
