Default EditLinksStartup Prompt

Hello, In a workbook with links to other workbooks, I have selected the
"Don't display alert and update links" option in the EditLinksStartup
Prompt menu. However, when the workbook is opened, the alert appears giving
the user the choices "Update" or "Don't Update" . I want the workbook to
update automatically upon opening. Why isn't the option working as it should?

This is a global settings across all worksheets within the Workbook, so do
the following:
1. Open the Excel document.
2. On the Tools menu, click Options
3. Under the Workbook options, select the Update remote references option
and Save externel link values.
4. Click OK
5. On the File menu, click Save
To save the current settings for all the sheets within the workbook.
