Default Save as CSV and Retain Leading zero

I would like to Save As .csv and retain a leading zero for uploading into a
Yahoo shopper.

When I format the cell using Custom 000000 and save the file as .csv and
open it again the leading zero is missing.

Sample number to save as .csv
012345
023456
034567

Thanks!

Hi Craig

This is an example of Excel being too 'helpful' - the leading zero
shouldn't be dropped (try opening the csv file in Notepad after saving
from Excel - the leading zero should still be there). It is only when
you open a csv in Excel does Excel convert field values to what it
considers are numerics (no leading zeroes).

Best regards

Richard
