Default Can't view Workbook

User opens excel workbook from network drive. Excel opens fine, but the
actual workbook is grayed out. User can still click on cells and cell
contents show in formula bar, but there is no grid or data just blank gray.
Happens on local machine and RDP. Excel 2003 all updates are applied.

Try:
Window|Arrange|tiled
and resize the way you like it

Did you guys ever figure this one out? I've got the same problem and the
instructions below don't help. They just show a new blank worksheet with
gridlines, etc. and my grayed out worksheet side by side.

Sometimes one of these works when you're having trouble with double clicking on
the file in windows explorer:

Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it)

--- or ---

Close Excel and
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /unregserver
then
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /regserver

The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's
factory defaults.

Maybe one of these will work for you.
