Default Creation Date field

Is there a way to insert a "creation date/time" field in a worksheet's header
or footer, other than typing it manually? It really is a pity one cannot
insert in Excel the variety of fields that Word offers so easily through a
menu.

Default Creation Date field

Rene,
The free Excel add-in XL Extras has a feature, available from the sheet tab
right-click menu or the view menu, to add default info to the header/footer(s).
There are no choices or options as to what is added (except for font size)...

printed date, organization name, user name in the header
sheet name, file name, page x of y in the footer.

You can also do a one click clear all of the header/footer(s).
The program will do other nice stuff including sorting sheets.
Download from... http://www.realezsites.com/bus/primitivesoftware
No registration required.
