If you're importing from a .txt file, maybe you can fix it when you're
importing. Make sure you choose Text for that field. Monty wrote: I am importing a bank account statement to a workbook and everything is fine except for one of the lodgement accounts. the problem with this is that the name of the account is -GB Cheque. when this is imported the workbook thinks it is a formula and put this in the cell #NAME?. when i click the cell you can see the name in the formula box. as i have over 3000 records is there anyway i can fix this without going through every record and deleting the = sign.
