linking shaded cells
In Excel I want to link to cells that contain shading rather than data. Does
anynoe know if/how this can be done? |

Links are established by cell address, not data, not shading. The linked
cell reflects the value of it's target, not the format of the target. -- Gary's Student gsnu200702 "Roz" wrote: In Excel I want to link to cells that contain shading rather than data. Does anynoe know if/how this can be done? |

You can use formulas to return values from shaded cells but you must employ VBA. See Chip Pearson's site for Functions. http://www.cpearson.com/excel/colors.htm Note the caveats about CF shaded cells.
