Default Pivot table

How can you filter the result of a pivot table to show values greater than or
less than a defined value?

That feature isn't available in Excel 2003 and earlier versions. You can
use the Top 10 AutoShow feature to limit the number of items that are
displayed.

Right-click on the button for the field you want to limit
Choose Field Settings
Click the Advanced button
Under Top 10 AutoShow, click On, and adjust the Show and field settings.

Thanks for your response Debra

I'm familiar with autoshow but wasn't aware the feature I want is only
available in newer versions than 2003.

Pivot tables in Excel 2007 have more filtering options.
