Default Lap Times

Hi. I am trying to create an info chart for a car club, but i cannot get
excel to handle lap times properly. What i need is to be able to enter say,
1'34.779 and be able to manipulate it as a time rather then a general number.

Default Lap Times

use the custom format for your cells of mm:ss.000

this will display minutes seconds and thousands to 3 decimal places. Note
I've used the colon delimeter so time should be entered as 1:34.779
