My coworkers are doing the same as I am by clicking on a file in a folder and
moving it to another folder. When I do it, it moves the file correctly, when
they do it, it makes a copy and moves the copy to the other folder. What are
they doing different? I can't see any difference and how we are moving them,
is there a setting that needs to be changed somewhere? Thanks

This is not an Excel issue.

The Windows OS default for drag & drop between two locations on the same drive
is move.

The default for drag & drop between two locations on different drives is copy.

Perhaps that is the difference you are seeing.

See StartHelp and Support on "drag and drop" for maybe some enlightenment on
methods.

Right-click will give you the options to move or copy.

Maybe they're doing ctrl-click and drag?

Don't forget you if you just drag a file from one folder top another
it only *Moves* the file if it is the same device
Otherwise it makes a copy.

I always drag with the right mouse button
When you drop the file, it then asks you copy, move or shortcut ?
Safer that way.
