The limit on sheets is dependant upon the memory available with each machine. It would be difficult to say it is proportional to any amount of memory ie 256 megs = 70, 0r 512 megs = 200. Each machine utilizes memory based on to many varibles to try to come up with a realiable answer. Why do you ask and what are you trying to accomplish? You'll most likely hit a "usability limit" before an actual limit on the
number of worksheets. Workbooks with too many sheets (that number being a matter of opinion and debate) become too difficult to use, long before they hit an actual limit imposed by Excel and the configuration of your machine. -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel Pearson Software Consulting, LLC www.cpearson.com (email address is on the web site) "kanwal" wrote in message ...
