Default selecting cells in different worksheets

I am creating a workbook and i want to group different worksheets within that
book
e.g. group all that say 'November' in cell J1 & another group all that say
December etc etc

so that i can quickly see those worksheets instead of searching through all
the worksheets for the ones that say 'November'

does anybody have any suggestions on how i can do this? i would really
appreciate any help.

thanks

I'm not really sure what you're asking, but here's a link on how to create a
table of contents for a workbook: http://www.mrexcel.com/tip017.shtml

ok, I have a workbook with a lot of worksheets in it, one for each customer.
each customer pays a deposit. So on each sheet it will state the order date
in a cell and it will also state how much the deposit was in a cell.

is there anyway i could total how many deposits i received in, for example,
november.

thanks
