Default Cell Selection Highlight

In Excel 2007, when selecting a range of cells, the area is "clear" as
opposed to the highlight in 2003. I see that the row & column labels are
highlighted along with the bold outline around the selection, but the cells
that have been selected are the same color as those adjacent. It is
difficult to know what you've selected if there are already heavy borders in
your spreadsheet. How can I make the selection stand out like earlier
versions of Excel.
Thanks,
Gary
