lotus worksheet to excel workbook
When you click on File Open, you get a screen where you can select the file
you want to open. At the bottom of this screen is a textbox with All Excel Files. Next to this is a down arrow. Click on the arrow, and an option list wil open up. Scroll down to almost right at the bottom, and you will find Lotus 123 files as an option. Click on this, and you can open the 123 file of your choice, once you have also selected the correct folder -- Hth Kassie Kasselman "piw3288" wrote: I can't find 123 in excel, only all file, what should i do? kassie;4124960 Wrote: In Excel, click on File Open, select Lotus 123 as the file type, and open -- Hth Kassie Kasselman "piw3288" wrote: How to convert lotus worksheet to excel workbook without error? -- piw3288 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ piw3288's Profile: http://www.officehelp.in/member.php?userid=6032 View this thread: http://www.officehelp.in/showthread.php?t=1319652 Posted from - http://www.officehelp.in -- piw3288 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ piw3288's Profile: http://www.officehelp.in/member.php?userid=6032 View this thread: http://www.officehelp.in/showthread.php?t=1319652 Posted from - http://www.officehelp.in |

lotus worksheet to excel workbook
Thanks Martin
It did give me an idea... But I would like to know more of it. I don't want it hardcoded I want it variable and preferably using VBA. In order to give an insight I shall give a sample of 1 file here. Sales Cost of Sales Margin Margin % Each file has one sheet constituting the above info. I want in the consolidated file the total sales, total cost of sales, total margin and margin % to be calculated in the final sheet depending upon these figures. I shall further clarify that the file names are not consistent and number of files may not be the same always, it will vary month on month basis depending upon the actual scenario. A little more help would do my job. Thanks in advance. Excel cannot open a file in the .123 file format. Other options are using
1-2-3 itself, OpenOffice.org's Calc spreadsheet and Conversions Plus from www.datawiz.com -- Jim "piw3288" wrote in message ... | | I can't find 123 in excel, only all file, what should i do? | | | | | | kassie;4124960 Wrote: | In Excel, click on File Open, select Lotus 123 as the | | | | file type, and open | -- | Hth | | Kassie Kasselman | | | "piw3288" wrote: | | | How to convert lotus worksheet to excel workbook without error? | | | -- | piw3288 | | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | piw3288's Profile: http://www.officehelp.in/member.php?userid=6032 | View this thread: http://www.officehelp.in/showthread.php?t=1319652 | | Posted from - http://www.officehelp.in | | | | | -- | piw3288 | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | piw3288's Profile: http://www.officehelp.in/member.php?userid=6032 | View this thread: http://www.officehelp.in/showthread.php?t=1319652 | | Posted from - http://www.officehelp.in | |

I beg to differ. I use Excel 2002, and it has an option to open a Lotus

If you reread my message you'll see I referred to the current .123 file
format, not the obsolete .wk? format. Most user's of 1-2-3 these days use the newer format. Excel does not support this unfortunately. -- Jim "kassie" (Change xxx to hotmail) wrote in message ... |I beg to differ.
