Formula
Hi,
I have this formula and i''' try to explain how i want it to work. Am usinh two worksheets one called Senate 1 and the other called Senate 2. =IF(AND('Senate 1'!K10="",'Senate 2'!S1040),"",IF('Senate 1'!K10="",'Senate 1'!K8,'Senate 2'!S10)) The formula is thus explained: Senate 1K10 is blank meaning the student did not register for the course and so should take or register for the course in the second year, the same course appears this time in cell S10 of Senate 2. it means two blanks for a single course which is wrong and or should not be. If the student then registers and passes the course in the second year then the pass score is entered into Senate 2S10. 'Senate 1'!K10="", is blank 'Senate 2'!S1040, Checks if Senate 2 S10 is 40 or more 'Senate 1'!K8, the course code which should show up in column AL10 'Senate 2'!S10, if the student registers, sit for the exam and passes or fails, the score should be entered into Senate 2S10 now S10 is the gamble here so to speak, either of these conditions could exist a PASS (i.e 40), a FAIL (i.e <40), an "ABS", (the student registers but is ABS at the exam, ABS is actually entered in cell S10). What i require is have the formula not record neither the PASS, FAIL or the ABS in column AL10.
