Default Updating web page with Excel data

Hi,
I have a web page where once you go to it you type in the desired date
and click a button to refresh data within a table. This table can then
be 'exported to excel' by clicking another button on the web page.

What I am wanting to do is have an excel session where the date I have
in a cell will determine what date is entered into the web page and
therefore what results and exported back to excel (all automatically of
course).

One thing these groups have taught is most things are possible...
however I'm thinking what I'm trying to achive outside of scope of
excel given that it requires data to be entered into the wev page??

Any suggestions of how to do this...or simply "This can not be done
stop wasting your time" would be much appreciated!

Cheers
