Worksheet Protection
What is the best way to prevent formulas from being seen?
I hear from this group that worksheet protection is easy to overcome. Please comment on the best way(s) to hide formulas. Thanks |

Worksheet Protection
You can prevent formulae from being seen by setting the cell's hidden format
(Right click cell, select format, Protection. The sheet then needs to be protected but as you have already discovered that protection is easily broken. Slightly better (but still possible to crack) would be using a macro. Set the formula into the macro and protect that. Nothing will foil someone who is committed to beating your protection but some of it will put off the less capable!! "wx4usa" wrote: What is the best way to prevent formulas from being seen?
