password protect cells problem
Could be.
I'd unprotect the worksheet and make sure the cells I want locked are locked and the cells I want unlocked are unlocked. Tools|Protection|unprotect sheet select the range to lock format|cells|protection tab|check locked. Select the range to unlock and do the similar thing. Then reprotect the worksheet and test it. oxicottin wrote: I have an excel sheet that I password protected certain cells so data could be entered. I reciently incerted a few cells and went back threw and reselected the cells that I wanted password protected. Well the new cell I just incerted I wanted writeable and they are not but everything else is just fine. Could it be because I I inserted the cell next to one that was protected before? How do I fix this? Thanks!! -- Dave Peterson |

password protect cells problem
I have done this.. and it still seems to want to protect the cells that I
inserted. The cells that I inserted were next to an originally protected cell if that means anything.. Thanks "Dave Peterson" wrote: Could be. password protect cells problem
I found the problem. I think because I inserted from a prior protected cell
it autmaticaly locked each of those cells because the prior row was completly locked. Thats all I did was unlocked each sell I wanted to be able to type into. Thanks for your reply!!!
