You could apply conditional formatting to your range. For
example, assume you're going to enter data into A1:F25.

1. Select A1:F25
2. Go to Format Conditional Formatting
3. Under Condition 1 select Formula Is and put:
=LEN(INDIRECT("rc",0))0
4. Press the Format radio button and format as desired.
