Default Sorting a large list by date (month number)

Hello All,

I have a list of 13,000 call records imported into Excel 2000. I have added
an extra column so I can convert the call dates into months (1-12) using the
month function.
Is there an easier way to convert all the call date records apart from
dragging the formula across all 13,000 records?

Appreciate any help.

Mac

If the column with the =MONTH formula is adjacent to the dates column just
double-click on the fill handle of the top formula cell.

This will copy/increment the formula all the way down.

OR enter the formula in top cell of helper column then enter B1:B13000 and
ENTER. Where B is your helper column.

CTRL + d to copy down.
