Default Upgrading Excel 2003 trial version, please help

I have been searching all over the internet to find the answer to my
question, hopefully you guys can help! I bought a new Dell computer with
Excel 2003 trial version installed. Here's my question: If I buy the
Upgrade to Excel 2003 will this make my trial version into a full version, if
not, what do I need to buy?

Thanks in advance,
S Huddleston

I believe you'll need to purchase the full version of Office or Excel. The
Upgrade version is for users of a previous version.

You need to buy the full version unless you have a previous version
somewhere else
note that there is office 2007 coming out this month
