Default Viewing "conditional formatting" in other apps

Hi there

Is there any way to "commit" conditional formatting to the file, in a way
that means that other applications will see that formatting? I'm referring
here particularly to excel viewers and editors for the Palm platform, which
clearly have a cut-down feature set, and which don't support conditional
formatting.

I'm perfectly happy if the formatting is applied "destructively", and saved
to a separate file... i.e. if the formatting says "hide this cell", then I
don't mind if the version I produce has a completely blank cell there, so
that I can't get the original content back.

All that matters is that the file will view accurately in other
applications, formatting and all. Of course, I keep the original untouched.

Thanks!

Mike
